Laripur 8125 is a polyester based TPU at Shore 83 A that COIM describes as combining excellent hydrolysis resistance with very good mechanical properties. That combination is the point of the grade: polyester mechanicals without the usual polyester limit in wet service.
COIM designed the standard version for injection moulding of sport soles, wheels, screen elements and technical items, and the 8125 EG version for hoses, profiles, transmission belts and films.
Tensile strength is 60.5 N per square mm at 626 percent elongation, with tear strength of 81 N/mm and abrasion loss of 40 cubic mm. The properties on this sheet are measured to ISO methods rather than the ASTM methods used on most of the range, so compare against another grade with that in mind.

COIM builds the grade for hydrolysis resistance.
Dry before processing at 80 to 90 degrees C for 3 hours, preferably in a dehumidifying drier fed by air with a dew point below minus 30 degrees C. Skipping the drying step is the most common cause of splay and bubbles in a TPU part.
COIM's suggested moulding profile runs zone 1 at 180 degrees C, zone 2 at 185, zone 3 at 190 and the nozzle at 185. The suggested extrusion profile runs zone 1 at 180, zone 2 at 185, zone 3 at 190, zone 4 at 185, adapter 180 and die 175. Machine, screw and downstream equipment all move these, so treat them as a starting point.
Package sizes: 25 kg bags, or 500 kg and 1000 kg octabins.
Storage: Six months from the date of delivery, in the original sealed packaging, in a dry well ventilated place out of direct sun.

Better than a standard polyester grade. Hydrolysis resistance is the stated reason this grade exists. It is still a polyester TPU, so for continuous immersion or steam a polyether grade such as Laripur 9060 remains the safer chemistry. Tell us the temperature, the fluid and the duration and we will say which one to trial.
COIM measured this sheet to ISO methods rather than the ASTM methods used on most of the USA sheets. A second sheet in US units exists but its tensile strength row is inconsistent with its own modulus rows, so we publish the ISO figures rather than reprint an error.
Same hardness within a point, Shore 83 A on both, and the same applications. 8125 is the one COIM built for hydrolysis resistance. If the part gets wet and stays wet, that is the difference worth paying for.
