P.A.T. Ingredients is a division of P.A.T. Products, Inc., established to serve food, beverage, and nutraceutical manufacturers who need specialty natural ingredients with the same reliability and technical depth that PAT brings to industrial markets.
What distinguishes PAT Ingredients from our other divisions is manufacturing. We produce spray-dried oil powders in the United States under our PureAcacia brand, encapsulating MCT oil, high-oleic sunflower oil, and other lipids in a gum acacia matrix to create stable, free-flowing powder ingredients. We control the formulation, the spray-drying process, the packaging, and the quality control.
For our distributed ingredients (gum acacia from Willy Benecke and guar gum from Rama), we hold North American inventory and provide the technical support and regulatory documentation that food manufacturers need to qualify ingredients and maintain supply chain continuity.
PAT Ingredients is certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Our organic gum acacia and organic oil powder products carry this certification, enabling our customers to use them in USDA Organic labeled products.
The PureAcacia oil powder line is PAT's original manufactured product. We spray-dry lipid-in-water emulsions using gum acacia as the encapsulation matrix, producing stable, free-flowing powders with high oil loading and excellent oxidative stability.
The gum acacia wall material acts as an oxygen barrier to protect the encapsulated oil from oxidation, disperses easily in aqueous systems, and masks off-notes from the oil itself. That matters for omega-3 and MCT applications where fishy or fatty flavors are a formulation challenge.
