Laripur 71D60 is a hard PTMG polyether based TPU at Shore 70 D. COIM states that it has very good resistance to hydrolysis and microbial attack, and designed the standard version for injection moulding of ski boots and technical items and the EG version for the extrusion of sheets and profiles.
Tensile strength is 77.2 N per square mm at 350 percent elongation, with tear strength of 232 N/mm, the highest figure in this catalog. The flexural modulus is 920 N per square mm by ISO 178 and the notched impact figure at minus 20 degrees C is 7.5 kJ per square m.
The properties on this sheet are measured to DIN and ISO methods rather than the ASTM methods used on most of the range, so compare against another grade with that in mind. COIM marks the sheet provisional and we will send the current revision with any sample.

COIM publishes a notched impact figure at minus 20 degrees C.
Dry before processing at 80 to 90 degrees C for 3 hours, preferably in a dehumidifying drier fed by air with a dew point below minus 30 degrees C. Skipping the drying step is the most common cause of splay and bubbles in a TPU part.
COIM's suggested moulding profile runs zone 1 at 210 degrees C, zone 2 at 215, zone 3 at 220 and the nozzle at 215. The suggested extrusion profile runs zone 1 at 210, zone 2 at 215, zone 3 at 220, zone 4 at 225, adapter 220 and die 215. Machine, screw and downstream equipment all move these, so treat them as a starting point.

Storage: Six months from the date of delivery, in the original sealed packaging, in a dry well ventilated place out of direct sun.

COIM publishes a notched impact figure of 7.5 kJ per square m at minus 20 degrees C, which is the only cold impact number on any of these sheets besides Laripur 7711. Polyether TPU generally holds flexibility better than polyester at low temperature.

Yes, that is what the EG version is for. COIM lists sheets and profiles and publishes a separate extrusion profile running to a die at 215 degrees C. The EG code has to be on the order.
