Deuteron PMH C is a micronized duromeric plastic powder based on polymethylurea. Its synthesis gives a balanced mix of compact and amorphous particle structures rather than the highly amorphous structure of the MK grades.
That difference is the whole point of the grade. Compared with the Deuteron MK family, PMH C mattes less efficiently but has significantly less influence on viscosity and porosity, and it improves film flexibility.
Its oil absorption is 167 g per 100 g, roughly half that of Deuteron MK at 325. Low oil absorption is what keeps viscosity down at high loadings, which is why this grade suits high solids formulations and films that have to stay flexible.

Dosage: A typical addition range of 1 to 15 percent. The level depends heavily on the binder type, other additives, solvent content and the application parameters, so determine it with a ladder study.

PMU chemistry is highly compatible across a wide range of systems, so PMH C can be incorporated with a high-speed stirrer without specific wetting agents or dispersing aids.
It is shear stable in high shear processes. Do not grind it in a bead mill: the particle size distribution is what produces the matting.

Storage: 24 months at room temperature in dry conditions. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 °C.

When viscosity is the constraint rather than matting efficiency. PMH C absorbs 167 g of oil per 100 g against MK's 325, so it loads into a high solids formulation without driving viscosity up the way a highly absorbent matting agent does. It also leaves the film more flexible. The trade is that it mattes less per unit added.
