Carrier-free liquid antistatic additive for coatings, PU and PVC. Sets surface and volume resistivity between 100 kilohm and 1 gigaohm without bringing a solvent into the system.
Deuteron LE 100 LV is a 100 percent active conductivity additive based on tetraalkylammonium ethyl sulphate. It adjusts the surface and volume resistivity of a system, and its effect comes mainly from surface migration and the ionic character of the cations.
It is a liquid free of any carrier. That is the practical reason to choose it over the solid or solvent-cut grades: it adds no solvent to the formulation that the formulation did not already want.
Deuteron's antistatic additives reach resistivity between 1x10^5 and 1x10^9 ohms, which is 100 kilohm to 1 gigaohm, the antistatic range under EN ISO 20345. For antistatic footwear the range is 1x10^5 to 1x10^8 ohms under EN 61340-4-3, and for ESD applications 1x10^5 to 3.5x10^7 ohms under EN 61340-5-1.
How far a given dose moves the number depends heavily on the system, the resins, the other additives and the pigments, and on how the measurement is set up. Treat the ranges as what the chemistry can reach, not as a result you get without trialling.

Dosage: A typical addition level of 0.2 to 5 percent. The exact quantity depends on the system and has to be determined for the intended application.
Typical values from the manufacturer's technical data sheet. They describe the product, they are not a specification. We will send the current TDS and the batch documentation your qualification needs.
Tell us the binder system, the property you are targeting, and the volume you expect. We will confirm the grade, send the documentation, and ship a sample from North American stock.
Adjusting resistivity so the paint takes a charge correctly.
Foam, shoe soles and casting resins.
No carrier solvent to interfere with a radiation-cure formulation.
Surface and volume resistivity control.
ESD and antistatic flooring specifications.
Works as a synergistic wetting agent for carbon blacks, graphite and carbon fibres.
It is specified where the formulation needs controlled surface and volume resistivity, no carrier solvent added to the system, dosing at any point in production, including as a post addition, and miscibility with the solvent mixtures used in coatings.
LE 100 LV can be added at any time during production, or used as a post addition to bring resistivity onto target after the fact. That second route is useful when a batch measures outside specification and would otherwise be scrapped.
It is miscible in all the solvent mixtures commonly used in coatings. Slight turbidity can occur in some of them.
Package sizes: Steel drum 25 kg or 200 kg net, or IBC 900 kg net.
Storage: 24 months in tightly closed original containers at room temperature. At low temperatures viscosity can rise or the product can solidify; gentle heat restores it, and the temperature should not exceed 40 °C.
Under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 Deuteron LE 100 LV is classified as a dangerous product and must be labelled. Read the safety data sheet before handling. Labelling requirements differ by region, so check the safety data sheet issued for your country.
The chemistry reaches 1x10^5 to 1x10^9 ohms, the antistatic band under EN ISO 20345. Antistatic footwear sits at 1x10^5 to 1x10^8 ohms under EN 61340-4-3 and ESD work at 1x10^5 to 3.5x10^7 ohms under EN 61340-5-1. Where your formulation lands inside that depends on the resin, the pigments, the other additives and the measurement conditions, so it has to be trialled.
Because it carries no solvent. LE 50 is cut in butanol, which matters in an isocyanate system where the butanol hydroxyl groups have to be counted. LE 15P is a powder on a silica carrier for extrusion and powder coatings. LE 100 LV is the liquid that adds nothing but the active.
Yes. It can go in at any point in production or as a post addition to bring resistivity onto target, which is the usual way to correct a batch that measures outside specification.
Yes. Under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 it is classified as a dangerous product and requires labelling. All the Deuteron LE antistatics are. Read the safety data sheet for your region before handling.
Yes. We send the Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), Regulatory Information Sheet, and Conductivity Agents brochure on request, in the manufacturer's current revision. Use Request TDS or SDS above and tell us what your qualification review needs.
