Technipol copolyester carrier resins for PET color and additive masterbatch, and Technipol Bio compostable carriers for PLA and starch compounds. Granules and powder.
Technipol® carrier grades are copolyesters made for one job: holding a color or additive concentrate and letting it disperse fast and evenly in PET, including at low wall thickness. They melt at 192 to 200°C and run melt flows from 35 to 85 g/10 min, so the masterbatch processes alongside the host resin.
The grades are made by Sipol S.p.A. of Mortara, Italy, our partner for Sipolprene TPC-ET elastomers and Technipol filter hot melts. P.A.T. Products supplies them to North American masterbatch and compound producers.
| Grade | Form and color | Melting point | MFI (240°C, 0.325 kg) | Density |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technipol 192 | Granules, white-transparent | 192°C | 40 g/10 min | 1.29 g/cm³ |
| Technipol 192 LV | Granules, white-transparent | 192°C | 85 g/10 min | 1.29 g/cm³ |
| Technipol 200 | Granules, white | 200°C | 35 g/10 min | 1.28 g/cm³ |
| Technipol 200 P | Powder, white, 650 µm median | 200°C | 35 g/10 min | 1.28 g/cm³ |
Typical values from Sipol's data sheets. Granule grades ship in 25 kg bags with an aluminum moisture barrier, 500 kg octabins, or 500 and 1,000 kg big bags; 200 P ships in 20 kg bags.
Technipol Bio grades are aliphatic and aromatic-aliphatic copolyesters for biodegradable and compostable compounds. They blend with PLA and starch and serve as masterbatch carriers in granules or powder. The grades below are certified OK Compost INDUSTRIAL, OK Compost HOME and OK Compost SOIL by TÜV Austria.
| Grade | Type | Melting point | Shore D | Renewable content |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technipol Bio 1120 | Aliphatic | 114°C | 61 | Not stated |
| Technipol Bio 1124 | Aliphatic | 114°C | 61 | > 40% |
| Technipol Bio 1125 | Aliphatic | 114°C | 61 | > 50% |
| Technipol Bio 1129 | Aliphatic | 114°C | 61 | > 95% |
| Technipol Bio 1160 | Aromatic-aliphatic | 115°C | 34 | Not stated |
| Technipol Bio 1164 | Aromatic-aliphatic | 115°C | 34 | > 40% |
Renewable content is from inedible-grade sources. Grades 1125 and 1129 carry provisional data sheets. Technipol Bio 1160 is also available as a powder, 1160/P.
For property modification rather than carrying, Sipol's Sipolprene TPC-ET compounds into PVC, PET, SEBS, ABS and TPU, and contains no plasticizer. Tell us the host polymer and the property you need to move, and we will match a grade.
It is the polymer that holds the pigment or additive concentrate. Technipol carrier grades are copolyesters built for high compatibility with PET, so the concentrate disperses quickly and evenly in the host resin, including in thin walls. Melting points run 192 to 200°C with melt flow from 35 to 85 g/10 min (240°C, 0.325 kg).
Technipol 192 is white-transparent, for color concentrates where carrier clarity matters. Technipol 192 LV is the same polymer at higher flow, MFI 85 against 40. Technipol 200 is a white grade melting at 200°C, and Technipol 200 P is the same grade as a powder with a median particle size of 650 microns, for powder blending.
Yes. Technipol Bio grades are aliphatic and aromatic-aliphatic copolyesters for biodegradable and compostable compounds, compatible with PLA and starch, and usable as masterbatch carriers in granules or powder. Grades 1120, 1124, 1125, 1129, 1160 and 1164 are certified OK Compost INDUSTRIAL, HOME and SOIL by TÜV Austria. Renewable content runs above 40 percent on 1124 and 1164, above 50 percent on 1125, and above 95 percent on 1129.
The Technipol 192 and 200 grades were developed as support polymers for masterbatches that color resins used in food packaging. Food contact status depends on the regulation and the end use, so tell us yours and we will get the declarations from the manufacturer.
