Tramaco GmbH develops and produces chemical additives and processing aids for the plastics, rubber and coatings industries at Tornesch near Hamburg. The company has run since 1973 and is part of the ROWA Group. TRAPYLEN is its range of primers and adhesion promoters for coating, bonding, printing and laminating polyolefin plastics, the substrates that resist ordinary bonding.
Tramaco organizes the range by application case, and so do the pages below. Case one covers pretreatment of molded plastic parts, case two covers primers for films, foils and sheets, and case three covers adhesion additives for printing inks on polyolefins. Two chemistries run through all three. Chlorinated polyolefins (CPO) are the classic choice, and chlorine free modified polyolefins (APO) cover the growing share of work where chlorine is unwelcome. Grades come as solid resins, solutions in organic solvents, waterborne dispersions and UV-curable liquids.

Chlorinated and modified chlorinated polyolefins, solvent-based and UV-curable. Adhesion additives that make solvent-based and UV-curable inks hold on PP, PE and BOPP film. Solid resins, ethyl acetate and xylene solutions, and 100 percent reactive UV grades.
