Products is the North American distributor for COIM's Laripur thermoplastic polyurethane. The line covers the full hardness spectrum from Shore A 66 to Shore D 77 in three soft-segment chemistries: polyester (abrasion, mechanical strength, oil and fuel resistance), polyether (hydrolysis resistance, low-temperature flexibility, microbial resistance), and caprolactone (polyester mechanicals with improved hydrolysis resistance). Applications: hydraulic and pneumatic seals, extruded hose and tube, film and sheet, footwear components, wire and cable jacketing, belting, rollers and wear parts, and compounding. Stocked in North American warehouses; samples typically ship the same business day. Cross-references to commonly specified TPU grades are available on request. TDS and SDS for every grade; food-contact (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600), RoHS, and REACH statements for select grades on request. **Technipol filter adhesives** — copolyester (Technipol) and copolyamide (Technipol PA) hot-melt adhesives by Sipol S.p.A. for filter manufacturing: pleat stabilization, edge sealing, and element closing in engine air filters; pleat joining and metal-free "eco" end caps in oil filter elements (hot oil 140-155°C at 4-6 bar per ISO 4548-6); wound-media bonding in diesel fuel filters (90°C/168 h ageing). Copolyester grades are foamable; copolyamide grades reach bio-based content up to 80% from non-edible agricultural feedstocks. Automotive compliance: IMDS, GADSL, REACH, RoHS. Applied by extruder, tank unit, or spray. **Sipolprene TPC-ET** — thermoplastic copolyester elastomers by Sipol S.p.A. of Mortara, Italy. Sixteen standard grades spanning Shore D 28 to 72: elastomeric grades (Shore D 28-45, rubber-like flexibility, low-temperature performance to -60°C) and plastomeric grades (Shore D 46-72, engineering-plastic stiffness). Compared to TPU, TPC-ET offers higher continuous-service temperature, better compression set under sustained load, and better creep resistance. Specialty grades include fast-cycle injection molding grades and the Sipolprene 35150 PVC modifier. Cross-references to Hytrel and Arnitel available for most standard grades. ## Plasticizers **ProFlex sulfonamide plasticizers** — o/p-toluenesulfonamide and benzenesulfonamide plasticizers for polyamide, hot-melt and PVAc adhesives, printing inks, and amino, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems. Low-migration, permanent flexibility. **Citriflex 84** — acetyl tributyl citrate (ATBC), a non-phthalate, bio-based plasticizer for cellulosics, food-contact PVC, inks, and adhesives. [UV protection primers for PVC architectural membrane](https://www.patproducts.com/news/uv-protection-primer-pvc-architectural-membrane): Why a PVC tensile or architectural membrane fails at the lacquer-to-PVC interface rather than at the surface (UV degrades the PVC boundary layer beneath the topcoat and impairs the bond while the topcoat film stays intact), how a UV protection primer answers it at more than 80 percent solar UV filtered with visible transparency above 70 percent, single-layer versus two-layer PVDF systems, and titanium dioxide versus zinc oxide absorbers including the very high transparency zinc oxide grade for daylit structures. - [Choosing a topcoat lacquer for PVC-coated fabric](https://www.patproducts.com/news/topcoat-lacquer-pvc-coated-fabric): Which topcoat chemistry a PVC-coated fabric needs, comparing acrylic, polyurethane, and PVDF by end use, with solids ranges (about 11 to 46 percent), one-component versus two-component crosslinking and pot life, solventborne versus waterborne conversion, high-frequency weldability, the plasticizer migration barrier, and UV protection primers for architectural membrane. - [Choosing a dispersant for pigment concentrates](https://www.patproducts.com/news/choosing-a-pigment-dispersant): How to select a pigment dispersant: wetting versus stabilization, steric versus electrosteric, matching the anchor to titanium dioxide, carbon black, and organic pigments, dosing from surface area, and what APEO-free substitution changes. - [Choosing a film former for carbon fiber sizing](https://www.patproducts.com/news/carbon-fiber-sizing-film-former-selection): The carbon fiber sizing selection sequence: matrix, Tg and hand, particle size, bath stability, downstream heat, and FILCO 8902 for PEEK and PPS processing temperatures. - [Re-sizing recycled and converted carbon fiber](https://www.patproducts.com/news/resizing-recycled-carbon-fiber): Why reclaimed carbon fiber needs a fresh film former and how re-sizing, oversizing, and veil binders are chosen. - [Sizing, chopping, and blade life in carbon fiber converting](https://www.patproducts.com/news/carbon-fiber-chopping-blade-life): Why chopping blade life varies with the sizing, how dried-film stiffness and electrostatic dissipation change cutting force and fuzz, and how to run a counted chop trial. - [Benzotriazole vs tolyltriazole](https://www.patproducts.com/news/benzotriazole-vs-tolyltriazole): How the methyl group changes chlorine and heat tolerance, and how to choose between BTA and TTA. - [How gum arabic desensitizes an offset plate](https://www.patproducts.com/news/gum-arabic-fountain-solution-desensitizing): Why the non-image areas of a litho plate reject ink, and the four failure modes when the gum film is wrong. - [Moving a fountain solution off kibbled gum arabic](https://www.patproducts.com/news/kibbled-gum-arabic-to-instantized-powder): What changes in the make-up tank when a plant replaces kibbled gum with an instantized spray-dried powder. - [Coloring plastisol for dip molding, rotocast, and coated fabric](https://www.patproducts.com/news/coloring-plastisol-dip-molding-rotocast): Why a plasticizer-carried dispersion is native to a plastisol compound instead of a foreign phase in it, the roughly 2 percent (50:1) let-down and what the percentage is measured on, fusion temperature as a pigment-selection question including the diarylide limit above 200 C, why the dispersion must leave compound viscosity alone, and how plastisol pigment dispersion differs from plastisol screen-printing ink. - [Standard color palettes for epoxy system houses](https://www.patproducts.com/news/epoxy-system-house-color-palette): How an epoxy system house puts a standard color palette in front of its own customers without making the color: what sits in the palette (a black, a white and a grey range running light to dark, with custom shades matched behind it), why the white carries the loading in a pale shade, custom matching into the customer's own epoxy system against a delta E 1.0 CIELAB D65/10 specification, one phthalate-free terephthalate carrier across epoxy, cast polyurethane and plastisol so a house running more than one system holds one color target and one supplier, pack sizes from a 5 kg pail to a tote with no minimum order, the Tg and chemical-resistance guardrail, and the certificate, data sheets and Berry Amendment, REACH, RoHS and Proposition 65 documentation that ship with the color. - [Coloring epoxy systems](https://www.patproducts.com/news/coloring-epoxy-systems): What a pigment dispersion adds to a two-part epoxy: why an ester carrier has no epoxide and no amine hydrogen and so takes no part in the amine-epoxy cure, why none of the isocyanate-index arithmetic applies, why the resin-versus-hardener question depends on the system and belongs to the resin supplier, addition rates of 1 to 5 percent of the total mixed system and what that percentage is a percentage of, why white carries the loading in a tinted shade, and the Tg and chemical-resistance guardrail. - [Choosing the carrier for a polyurethane pigment dispersion](https://www.patproducts.com/news/pigment-dispersion-carrier-polyurethane): How polyether polyol, plasticizer, benzoate, and vegetable oil carriers differ; why a polyol carrier changes your isocyanate index and a plasticizer carrier changes your durometer; why color goes on the polyol side; and which systems PAT does not serve. - [How much colorant to add to cast polyurethane](https://www.patproducts.com/news/how-much-colorant-cast-polyurethane): The sourced addition rates (cast PU 1-2% typical and 4% max of total system, plastisol 2% at 50:1, PVC masterbatch 1-4%), why the percentage basis has to be stated, why carbon black and titanium dioxide need very different loadings, and what goes wrong above the band. - [Replacing a liquid colorant you can no longer buy](https://www.patproducts.com/news/replacing-discontinued-liquid-colorant): What to do when the pigment dispersion grade you have specified for years is discontinued or its supplier's product pages are gone: reverse matching from a physical part or the last of the old material, why another supplier's formula does not transfer and is never asked for, what to send (the color standard, the system itself, the process conditions the color must survive, and the tolerance with its method), how the match is confirmed on a drawdown in the customer's own system against a delta E 1.0 CIELAB D65/10 specification, why a colorant change is the point to choose the carrier again, and the certificate that ships with every batch. Cross-references for legacy grade names are available on request and are never published as a name-to-name chart. - [Masterbatch vs liquid color](https://www.patproducts.com/news/masterbatch-vs-liquid-color): Choosing a color form by process — masterbatch at the press, liquid color before cure. - [Berry Amendment compliant color](https://www.patproducts.com/news/berry-amendment-compliant-color-footwear-defense): Domestically produced liquid color for footwear and defense programs, with a Berry Amendment statement on request. ## Deuteron catalog Grade-level pages for the Deuteron coatings additive range, each built from the manufacturer's technical data sheet. - [Deuteron products](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/deuteron/): Deuteron coatings additives from P.A.T. Products liquid color catalog PAT blends liquid pigment dispersions at its own plant in Hermon, Maine, as an authorized REPI formulator. The product is a custom match, so these pages are organized by the SYSTEM the color goes into rather than by shade: the carrier belongs to the chemistry, and a dispersion built for one system is usually wrong in another. Tolerance is ΔE 1.0 or better, measured CIELAB against the approved standard on a spectrophotometer at D65 illuminant and a 10 degree observer, with the reading on the certificate of analysis for every batch. Most matches come back in about a week. The match and the sample are free and there is no minimum order to trial one. Made in the United States and Berry Amendment, REACH, RoHS and California Proposition 65 compliant. - [P.A.T. Products liquid color](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/pat-color/): Custom-matched liquid pigment dispersions for cast urethane, plastisol, polyurethane foam, spray polyurethane, TPU masterbatch and epoxy. Blended in Hermon, Maine to a ΔE 1.0 tolerance. - [Liquid color for plastisol](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/pat-color/plastisol): Pigment dispersion in a phthalate-free plasticizer carrier for plastisol, dip molding, rotocast and flexible PVC. Let-down about 2 percent, a 50 to 1 ratio. Stirs in at room temperature with no high-shear step, because the carrier is already an ingredient of the compound. The system matched most often at this plant. - [Liquid color for cast urethane](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/pat-color/cast-urethane): Low-viscosity pigment dispersion for cast polyurethane, in a phthalate-free plasticizer carrier or a polyether polyol carrier formulated to the system hydroxyl number. Typical addition 1 to 2 percent, up to 4 percent for a deep shade. Third-stream metering or mass coloration on the polyol side. UV absorber and HALS available in the carrier. - [Liquid color for polyurethane foam](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/pat-color/flexible-and-integral-skin-foam): Pigment dispersion in a polyether polyol carrier metered on the polyol side, for flexible and integral-skin foam. The carrier joins the reaction and consumes isocyanate, so it is formulated to the hydroxyl number of the system and the index is accounted for. - [Liquid color for spray polyurethane](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/pat-color/spray-polyurethane): Pigment dispersion in a polyether polyol carrier, metered into the resin side of a plural-component set. Every spray polyurethane match run at this plant has used a polyol carrier and none has used a plasticizer carrier. Bedliners, tank and pipe linings, MUTCD traffic colors and the APWA underground utility set. - [TPU and thermoplastic masterbatch](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/pat-color/tpu-masterbatch): Pelletized pigment concentrate on a carrier resin selected for the polymer being colored, for extrusion, injection molding and compounding. The same shade is held across masterbatch and liquid dispersion. Berry Amendment compliant for military and government footwear work. - [Liquid color for epoxy and polyurea](https://www.patproducts.com/catalog/pat-color/epoxy-and-polyurea): Pigment dispersion with the carrier selected for the side of the system it meters into, for epoxy flooring and casting, polyurea coatings, unsaturated polyester, gelcoat and cultured marble. Matched into a customer-supplied system on request. Settle which side the color goes in before the trial: sampling the wrong carrier into an epoxy is the common way one of these fails. - [Pantone and RAL shade reference](https://www.patproducts.com/products/color-shade-reference): Every Pantone and RAL code matched at PAT's Hermon, Maine plant, 173 in total across the Pantone solid coated and uncoated books, the Pantone TPX textile book and RAL Classic. Also covers Federal Standard 595 (continuing as AMS-STD-595 since the 2017 cancellation), the MUTCD traffic control colors, the APWA uniform underground utility color code and AR 670-1. These are codes matched, not stock: a code that is not listed is matched the same way. Just over half the standards received are a physical part or wet sample instead of a code.
