TEC-260 – Resorcinol-Formaldehyde Tire Cord Dip Resin

shutterstock_519137797TEC-260 is a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin diluted in methanol. It has low free formaldehyde and low viscosity.

TEC-260 is formulated for use with SBR Latex, Type IV, or similar polymers.

The primary application for TEC-260 is in tire cord dip solution, particularly rayon and nylon cord for SBR carcass.

TEC-260 should be stored in a well ventilated indoor area with the container closed for storage. This resin should be stored where temperatures do not exceed 30 °C (86 °F) for long periods of time.

For best results, it is recommended that TEC-260 be used within 1 year of manufacture date. As with all phenolic resins, TEC-260 will become darker with age.
